About This Novel
In the early Republic of China, there was a place called Fusong City at the foot of Changbai Mountain in Liaoning Province. There was a group of people who made a living by digging sticks (ginseng) into the mountains. Among them, the owner with the highest prestige and the largest family fortune is Yang Chengye (Yang Baye), who is also the leader of the Changbai Mountain Ginseng Gang. Yang Baye holds a ginseng king competition every year. Jin Buhuan, the ginseng king who closed the mountain and washed his hands in the golden basin nine years ago, appeared at this ginseng king competition with his adopted son Jin Shisan. It is said that the treasure of the mountain god descended to the world, and a century-old "two-story stone" appeared in the mountains. Jin Buhuan came out of the rivers and lakes and gathered his old team with Jin Shisan, who was released for the first time, into the mountain to collect the "two-story stone."
