About This Novel

Continuing the plot of the previous work "The Magpie Murders", editor Susan Ryland escaped death and moved to a Greek island with her long-term boyfriend to run a family hotel on the island. But life has turned from the beauty in her imagination into a mess in reality - everything in the hotel on the island makes her exhausted. Susan began to miss her career as a publisher in London, even though her publishing career had put her in mortal danger. One day, two unexpected guests arrived, breaking Susan's peaceful and boring life. A couple from England approached her about a murder that had occurred in the hotel they owned on the day of their daughter Cecily's wedding. Susan couldn't help but be fascinated by it. They claimed that Cecily disappeared mysteriously a few hours after reading "Atticus Pound Comes to Solve the Case" (a crime novel written by Alan Conway and edited and published by Susan a few years ago). In order to save Cecily, Susan knows she must return to London and find out the truth. Opening "Atticus Pound to Solve the Case" again, Susan seemed to see the ghost of Alan Conway appearing in front of her. The murder in the hotel and the mystery of Cecily's disappearance must be hidden in this novel...

Susan Ryland's psychological activities are also very richly described in the article. Perhaps everyone will have a lot of doubts when facing problems, and yes, this is a normal phenomenon.

Lai Lan's reactions all gave the feeling that he was communicating with the people in the book. Such a special method also made it easy to have an immersive feeling. It was just right.

The four lines of advertising copy on the back of the postcard actually stumped "me", but was read by Andrew in a few seconds. This in itself formed a sharp contrast, and now that we are here, who really understands this gap?

This is the first time I heard about Anthony Horowitz. I didn't expect that he is also a screenwriter. There is actually an introduction to him on Youku! Young agent Alex is pretty cool.
