About This Novel

This story is so rich and so evil that it fills everyone with admiration and fear. In 1893, in the United States during the Gilded Age, the Chicago World's Fair was about to be held. The old world was collapsing, and glory and sin were competing. Chief Designer Burnham worked diligently to bring together well-known architects and planners to create an World Expo that would amaze the world and reshape Chicago's image. He said this wouldn't be just a dream. A few blocks away, a handsome young doctor stepped out of the train, carrying a surgery box. To women unaware of his secret obsessions, his appearance was alluring. He walked into this world full of noise, haze and steam, and sketched a "mysterious hotel" in his mind, where all the secret evil dreams would come true... "I can't help but kill, just like a poet, who can't help but sing when inspiration comes."
