Berlin Spy
About This Novel
Having been a spy all his life, Leamas knew that the intelligence network he had run in East Germany had been wiped out. He was unwilling to retire. The latest operation planned by British intelligence seems to be Leamas's last chance to save face and defeat his lifelong nemesis. However, Leamas thought he could return from the cold, but instead stepped into the biting winter. In order to survive this severe winter, in addition to burning his own hot blood, he must also burn love and his most precious trust... John le Carré, formerly known as David Cornwell, was born in England in 1931. At the age of 18, he was recruited by the British military intelligence unit to serve as a spy for East Berlin. After retiring, he studied modern languages at Oxford University, and then taught French and German at Eton College. In 1959, he entered the British Foreign Office and began writing at the same time. He became famous in one fell swoop with his third book "The Spies in Berlin" and established his status as a literary master.

The story keeps taking turns...
Really, the more you look at it, the more interesting it becomes.
Spy-themed works are still good-looking.
