About This Novel
A weird father and a pair of weird sisters. When Philip Marlowe first appeared on the scene, he faced such a family. The old and wealthy general asked Marlowe to find his son-in-law, but his two daughters kept preventing Marlowe from taking further action. The nymphomaniac sister even climbed into Marlowe's bed. The alluring older sister gave her lips. A gangster who only knows money, the most affectionate gangster, a homosexual who rents and sells obscene books... Marlowe was originally just looking for a missing person, but he did meet so many people. He would deal with them one by one, using his sharp-edged language, fists and pistols.

This book is one of Raymond's books that I think is the best. I highly recommend it.
Marlowe's job as a detective is a bit miserable. He has to work as an agent for ten people. He has to solve crimes and be a thug, and he has to resist temptation and endure hatred.
It feels good to add it to the bookshelf.

I have read two of Chandler's works, and each one is like prose, telling a story. It represents a long farewell that still lingers in my heart. Now it has added "The Long Sleep". This is a huge message led by one sentence, which can only be explained by this story.
