Xiao Xia was imprisoned when she was not yet 18 years old. After being released from prison two and a half years early because of her good behavior, she decided to go to the gate to join her childhood friend Gu Yifei. The season for catching eel larvae is very short, and Gu Yifei's real occupation is that of a corpse fisherman. The body of a young woman fished out of the sea once brought back memories of their past. Xiao Xia and Gu Panpan, Gu Yifei's sister, went to attend a secret dance and were arrested by public security officers. Gu Panpan was shot and Xiao Xia was sentenced to sixteen years in prison. Soon after, the girl Xiao Xia liked, Rongrong, jumped into the river and committed suicide. Gu Yifei had been madly pursuing Rongrong after Xiao Xia was imprisoned, and now he was searching for bodies at the gate with the thought of finding Rongrong.
