Chalk Man
About This Novel
In 1986, in a small British country town, four boys, Eddie, Gavin, Mickey, Hope, and a girl, Nicky, played adventure games with colored chalks. They left colorful codes on the road and on the exterior walls of each other's houses that only the five of them could read. They rode bicycles through the streets of the town and the dark forests. The beautiful summer and childhood adventures seemed to never end. However, the little people drawn with chalk seemed to have a life of their own, and began to appear in strange places and times. The five children, who were never close friends, gradually developed their own secrets. Misunderstandings caused their friendship to break up and they gradually parted ways. All this seems to be inextricably linked to the death case of the beautiful girl... Thirty years later, one of the five people, the famous best-selling author Mickey, returned to the small town, breaking the peaceful life of the five people. It turns out that Mickey's purpose in returning to his hometown was to dig out an old case of the mysterious death of a girl and use it as material to create a new novel. But he didn't expect that he would drown in the river that night. Eddie, Gavin and Hope all received mysterious letters, with only a piece of chalk and a drawing of the Chalk Man in the envelope. History repeats itself, the Chalk Man reappears, what does this mean? How many childhood lies and youthful sins are buried in the old case thirty years ago?
