About This Novel
The novel uses the growth of Shan Qinghai, a young man with a simple heart, kindness and ignorance, as a clue to string together six independent but interrelated social cases: "The Story of Bean Juice", "The Story of Fear of Light", "The Story of Escape", "The Story of Infiltration", "The Story of Gunshots" and "The Story of Matricide". The story takes "escape-return" as the main line and is fan-shaped. It radiates other characters and stories, tells the incredible destiny and life in the process of growing up, expresses people's helplessness in reality, and spiritual salvation, and expresses thoughts on human nature through the characters, panoramically expressing the life style of this era, and showing the vastness and diversity of contemporary life. Six intrinsically related stories, that is, six cases with different reasons, intersect in time and space, and represent six different ways of living and destiny of people in the current society. The focus of the work is not on the complex narrative of the case itself, nor on the pretense of mystery, but on the description of the characters' psychological twilight and the strangeness of life's destiny.
