That night, Stafford's apartment was besieged by heavy snow. Major Burnaby was invited to this isolated country house, and gathered together to play a séance with a mother and daughter who had just moved in, a scholar who was keen on criminology and bird observation, a young man with evil intentions, and an ordinary passerby. Unexpectedly, the ghost appeared and predicted the death of the young family members. After the major arrived in a hurry, his friend actually died at home, and the presumed time of death was consistent with the ghost's prediction! Is this an evil spirit or a deliberate murder? All clues pointed to Emily's fiancé. After the police arrested him, Emily vowed to clear his suspicions. She said, "Wait a minute, I'll put on my makeup first."
