About This Novel

Jane Wilkinson is a successful actress who wants to get rid of her eccentric husband, Lord Edgware, and has publicly declared on more than one occasion that she wants to kill him herself. People regarded this as a petulant joke on her part, until Lord Edgware actually died in the study, and the housekeeper witnessed Jane walking in. When the confident police approached Jane, they found that more than a dozen witnesses sworn that Jane was attending a dinner party on the other side of the city. Maybe the most obvious culprit isn't the real murderer? After all, Baron Edgware is surrounded by a notorious nephew, a sensitive and agitated daughter, and a sneaky butler...

This is the only Agatha novel so far where I know the murderer from the beginning, and it's not just a random guess 😁

It feels like the reasoning technique is relatively simple. A very charming person, with good looks and acting skills, but unfortunately he lacks humanistic qualities

This woman is so terrible, so egotistical. She feels that whoever marries her will be unlucky. This kind of person's thinking has become completely materialistic.
