Waste Your Life on Beautiful Things
by J
About This Novel
This book contains 59 essays by Wu Xiaobo in recent years. Different from the rational and objective nature of commercial works, the essays contain his deep affection as a father, vague memories of his interactions with old friends, his indifferent attitude towards the world as an intellectual, and his sharp sketches of being immersed in the business world for decades. Time has a flavor, and years have left a voice. Every article is the most sincere expression.

The world is reincarnated, and this is generally the case. Every life, company, country and civilization does have its "retribution". Without a clear, transcendent and planned outlook on life, the result of any pursuit of wealth will be gray and confused. Such a topic is still so unfamiliar to many Chinese people today, but I think it may not be long before it becomes 100% eye-catching. I hope that Mohandas Gandhi's ideas can become a universal view of life. This lifelong frugal and stubborn Indian calls the following phenomena "things that can destroy us": politics without rules, happiness without conscience, wealth without labor, knowledge without personality, business without morality, science without humanity, and faith without sacrifice. He is a benchmark. I think he has everything. This book allows me to see the conscience of an intellectual and the unique insights of a financial economist. The collision of ideas made me think. It is a very good book. I hope young people will read it.
Good books are worth savoring several times
It is difficult to appreciate the essence of Wu Xiaobo's thoughts by reading Wu Xiaobo's books only once. Good books should be read repeatedly and studied carefully. You are indeed everyone, and the articles you wrote are indeed extraordinary.
I really like Teacher Wu's books, and this title attracted me this time! What do we live for? All fame and fortune are ultimately in vain. But that is just a result. We cannot not eat this meal just because we are full and will be hungry later. We should enjoy the joy brought by this delicious meal! Just like in life, what matters is now and the process! Every second in our lives should be wasted on what we find interesting! Waste your life on beautiful things!
The most expensive things in our country are freedom and ideals. They are both concrete and cannot be sold, and freedom and ideals cannot be sold to each other.
I'll support you too
We are all spiritual immigrants. I really like this sentence. I have little talent and little knowledge, and I don't know how to express my feelings. I can sum it up in one sentence. This is my state at this stage.
Good reading, good reading, good reading, good reading.
Some chapters are really enlightening
Very good book
