Mr. Luo Rongqu (1927-1996) was a famous historian and a pioneer in the study of China's modernization. In October 2017, the "Symposium to Commemorate the 90th Anniversary of the Birth of Professor Luo Rongqu and the Academic Seminar on Chinese Modernization Studies" was held. After the meeting, commemorative manuscripts and research papers were collected and compiled into this book.
