About This Novel
"Paradise Lost" reveals man's original sin and depravity with epic momentum. In the poem, Satan, the rebellious god, was sent to hell for resisting God's authority, but he did not give in and sought revenge in the Garden of Eden. Adam and Eve were tempted by a snake possessed by Satan and ate from the tree of knowledge, which God had expressly forbidden to eat. In the end, Satan and his associates were condemned and turned into snakes, and Adam and Eve were expelled from the Garden of Eden. This long poem embodies the poet's lofty spirit of pursuing freedom and is a very important work in the history of world literature and thought.

Come here to learn about Lucifer and Hebrew mythology.
This is how I felt when I was in the hospital, reading a chapter every morning, and then waiting for the nurse to come to hang up the water.
