"Tao'an Dream Memories" is Zhang Dai's masterpiece handed down from generation to generation. The book consists of eight volumes. It recalls the prosperous scene of the late Ming Dynasty from various aspects such as architecture, flowers and trees, opera and folk customs, tea, wine and food. It is known as "a historical picture that profoundly depicts the social life style of the late Ming Dynasty". This edition of "Tao'an Dream Memories" is newly translated and annotated by the popular writer Wu Ge and includes comments and prefaces recommended by Zhou Zuoren, Li Jingze and others. It is rich in content and worth collecting.
