"Selected Collection of Yu Dafu's Short Stories" is divided into three volumes. The first volume, "Sinking," selects nine works written between 1920 and 1922, when the author returned to Japan to start novel writing and officially graduated from Tokyo Imperial University. The second volume, "A Night Intoxicated by the Spring Breeze", roughly covers the author's wandering life from 1923 to 1926 after returning to China, with a total of 15 articles. The third volume "The Past" is written after 1927. With the novel "The Past" as a symbol, the author has entered another new creative stage and contains a total of 15 novels. The above three periods represent three different stages of Yu Dafu's creation.
