About This Novel
"Linhaixueyuan" describes the battle to suppress bandits in the Northeast during the early days of the Liberation War. In the winter of 1946, a small team of the Northeastern Democratic Alliance Army, led by the regiment's chief of staff Shao Jianbo, went deep into the forest and snowy fields to carry out the task of suppressing bandits. The reconnaissance hero Yang Zirong battled wits and courage with the Eagle Bandits in Weihu Mountain. "Linhaixueyuan" has always been regarded as a typical representative of "revolutionary popular novels" and has been hailed as a shining example of "the combination of new political ideas and traditional forms of expression". It is also an irreplaceable and important novel in the development of the entire "Seventeen Years of Literature". On September 23, 2019, "Lin Hai Xue Yuan" was selected into the "Collection of 70 Novels in the 70 Years of New China".
