About This Novel
One day, four college students suddenly came to visit. They said that after reading "my" novella "Desolate Village" published in "Sprout" magazine, they were inspired to see what happened and insisted on exploring the deserted village. After the four people returned from the deserted village, they encountered accidents one after another in just a few days. I really don't understand that such an ordinary book can become a famous work. I don't know whether it's because of the great background or because the majority of readers just read it in general.
The first novel I read
As a girl, Deserted Village Apartment was the first novel I read. I remember that in 2011, when I had just turned 16, I was still using a push-button mobile phone, and I used my phone bill to download Deserted Village Apartment to read it. It was very shocking when I read it... I endured the fear and couldn't tell the difference. I gnawed through the deserted village day and night. Don't ask me why I was scared, because the author wrote the deserted village in a very immersive way. When I read it, I felt like I was there. Sometimes I felt like I was the protagonist. Moreover, I was in Zhejiang back then, and I couldn't find that place on the map. Deserted Village is also in Zhejiang... In the same year, I watched the movie version of Deserted Village Apartment. Although the movie was also very good, I still prefer books. After so many years, I barely remember it... The most profound ones are Rouge and the monument...
Am I too picky?
A lot of the plots don't make sense, and not all supernatural novels are like this. It feels a bit stiff in some places.
I have always liked this book. In fact, I would like to read the sequel, but there is none.
I couldn't stand the middle chapter, it was boring. It's not that I think Cai Jun's books are bad, I quite like the works in recent years. But his earlier books were not as good as I imagined.

I discovered that I had read all of Cai Jun's books. When I was in junior high school, I read a magazine that seemed to be about a deserted village. Then I went online and saw Revolving Door. Damn, I haven't updated other novels, so my journey of suspense novels ended before it even started.
Reading a broken book is a waste of time
The character has no soul at all, just like a robot; the story has no continuity at all, no sense of suspense of a horror novel, it is a complete account; are you sure it is not an AI work with the pseudonym of "Master"? Is this thing a masterpiece? Can this be published? It was so easy to make money living in that era.
It's really good. I've read it many times. I like this kind of novel.
