A novel is a novel. No matter how much historical background is added, it is still a novel.
It can only be regarded as a novel~ Many chapters are very entertaining, but some of them are nonsense. I guess it can be published in China, probably because it does not directly criticize China. Look at France, Belgium, and Russia in it~ Politicians only persecute, while soldiers and bishops are casually deceived. It's as if the United States, Israel and the United Kingdom have normal people. In addition, I think the author is a Jew... I just want to say that you think everyone is the enemy of the Jews. In most cases, you ("Judas") are not taken seriously at all~
The author's personality is obvious, and extremes and prejudices are revealed between the lines.
