About This Novel

This book is the second part of the forensic Qin Ming retro suspense series "The Burning Hummingbird". In the first part of "The Burning Hummingbird", Tao Liang, a modern policeman, fell into a coma due to overwork while researching information on a cold case and fell into a long dream. In the dream, he returned to the 1970s, transformed into policeman Feng Kai, and teamed up with young rookie policeman Gu Hongxing to solve the case. "The Burning Hummingbird: The Mystery 1985" continues this setting. Tao Liang jumps from the dreamland of the 1970s to the 1980s, and finds that he is still Feng Kai's character, but he somehow becomes the hero of the corpse-burning case, and is almost "assassinated" inexplicably. Gu Hongxing, who has been promoted to Feng Kai's boss, believes that there is another real culprit in this corpse burning case and asks him to continue investigating. Compared with the material poverty situation in the 1970s, life in the 1980s has obviously undergone earth-shaking changes. Everyone yearns for a better life, and in the face of material desires, it is inevitable that some people will transform into hidden dark beasts. Behind the corpse-burning case, there are the secret stories of two girls. They have seen the daytime with intoxicating spring breeze and the cold and ruthless midnight. They broke out of the darkness, but they were repeatedly attracted by the darkness. If it is said that "one who is close to vermillion is red, and one who is close to ink is black", then in this complicated relationship, who changed the color for whom? In the process of solving the case, Feng Kai and Gu Hongxing gradually discovered that each other was completely different from their youthful youth. Can their friendship withstand the test of change? The spirit of the hummingbird in "Burning Hummingbird: Mystery 1985" is still displayed through the path of investigation by trace inspection workers. The first part of the Hummingbird series focuses on describing the development of trace inspection technology from scratch, while the second part focuses on describing the evolution of trace inspection consciousness from isolated evidence to evidence chains. Every era needs its own pathfinders. The "hummingbirds" represented by Gu Hongxing and Feng Kai are not afraid of pressure, are not afraid of trouble, are not satisfied with the status quo, do not blindly follow experience, and keep moving forward for the sake of justice.

Life is not easy, especially for the police. Tao Liang fell into a coma due to overwork due to work reasons, and he seemed to be in a dream

In the dream, Tao Liang felt that he was a policeman named Feng Kai who had been investigating the case... It seemed that he was looking at Tao Liang's dream or Feng Kai's hard work in reality...

Finished reading

This setting is a coincidence. Every time I want to complain about the method of solving crimes, I think it is a modern brain and the technology of the 1980s, and it seems to be a little more acceptable.

From the perspective of Forensic Doctor Qin Ming, Hummingbird 1 is as evocative as Hummingbird 2. The plots are interlocking and more humane than Forensic Doctor Qin Ming. It's so interesting. I hope the author can produce more exciting works!
