About This Novel

It's often sheer luck that happens when people encounter something that changes their lives forever, and Nate was able to find this apartment the same way. The new apartment that Nate has just moved into is a little unusual... Unusually cheap rent, strange and strange tenants, heavy padlocks on door 14, strange black lights, incredible apartment layout, seven-legged green cockroaches, groundless building information, underground passages that have been dusty for centuries... Under Nate's call, the tenants came together and started a crazy adventure. They vowed to dig out the secrets of this apartment.

On why Gate 14 is not scary

This is not an argumentative essay, so I won't say what the arguments are, but I will express my own opinion. Door No. 14 Was written by a young writer named Peter Crane. It can also be said to be his work when he was young. Since Peter himself pays great attention to the details and describes them in very detail, the book is relatively less scary. The failure lies in the fact that the details are too detailed. In addition, I have seen many people commenting that the book Door Fourteen is not scary. In fact, I personally feel that if you say it is not scary, you may not have understood it. Or maybe this book is already scary enough that you don't feel scared anymore. Why can't you see that many details in the book reveal the horror of this book. The horror of this book is based on human beings' sense of mystery about unknown things, and you will want to find out. Therefore, when reading, people's imagination will wander and they can't help but start to wander. Yes, I think the horror of this book lies in the realm of mystery. Finally, I would like to say that Peter Crane was only 16 years old when he wrote this book, so don't impose too much on others. If you ask me, if a 16-year-old can tell the details and story so completely, even if it looks like a running account, it is already pretty good.

Not recommended

This is the most ridiculous horror novel I have ever seen. It is said to be the best horror novel in the United States. After reading it, I felt like I wasted my time. I didn't feel any horror at all. Moreover, the translation was very poor and I had no sense of immersion. Honestly, I don't recommend watching it.
