Chief's Daughter
by Kate Goldman
About This Novel
The King of Arabistan, Chief Jargis, planned to build the most advanced oil refinery in the Middle East. For this purpose, he made a special trip to Houston, Texas, to find Jack Pierce, an outstanding industrial architect. One night, while jogging on the street, Jack encountered three men harassing a young girl. He stepped forward to fight off the harassers and rescued the girl. Jack escorted her back to the hotel where she was staying, and the two felt good about each other. The next morning, Jack encountered the most wonderful coincidence in his life. When he met with Chief Gergis, he found that the young girl he rescued last night was accompanying the chief. The chief introduced her as his daughter, Princess Amina. The sheikh hired Jack and arranged for him to live in his palace after arriving in Arabistan. While Jack was working to build the refinery, he met Amina from time to time. They enjoyed their time together and soon fell in love, unable to extricate themselves.
