"A Banquet of Three" is a collection of five novellas by young writer Sun Pin. The five stories focus on the emotional lives of urban men and women. A lonely landlady marries her tenant, hoping to save herself from the pain of loneliness; a man who is constantly entangled with a woman finds that he cannot do without the woman's company after breaking up; a woman who has fallen into a huge life inertia persists in visiting the man from different cities for many years, but finds that he lives in a deeper quagmire; meaning A wife who wants to divorce discovers her husband's biggest secret after her husband commits suicide in despair... Sun Pin's novels have a cold beauty, using different angles to see the emotions of men and women in modern urban life. Different from the general definitions of love and marriage, the novel aims to dispel and reconstruct these existing concepts.
