The Old Man and the Sea the Sun Rises

About This Novel
Santiago, a veteran Cuban fisherman, finally caught a big marlin alone after not catching a fish for 84 consecutive days. But the fish was so big that it dragged his boat on the sea for three days before it was exhausted and was killed by him and tied to the side of the boat. However, on the way back, he was repeatedly attacked by sharks. When he finally returned to port, only the head, tail and a spine were left of the big marlin. Although this is a work with a simple story and a small length, it is rich in meaning. Many teachers use it as a teaching material on heroism education and recommend it to students, making it an enduring bestseller. Santiago's tragic fate is the refractory reflection of Hemingway's own experience in art.
