The Complete Works of Sherlock Holmes: Strange Cases
About This Novel
"Strange Cases" is a collection of short stories, the last one in the series. "The Prevented Wedding" tells the story of an old pervert who specializes in deceiving and insulting women. He was retaliated and disfigured. Holmes outsmarted his past criminal evidence and destroyed his sinful soul, thereby awakening and saving the last obsessive fairy-like lady. "The Elopement Case of the Stingy Man's Wife" tells the story of an old miser who suspected that his young beautiful wife was hooking up with a chess friend, and poisoned the two with gas, then sued him for stealing his savings and elope. Holmes solved the case sharply and hit the target with just one word, and the murderer was immediately captured without saying a word. ... The incredible events, confusing cases, and meticulous reasoning depict scenes of thrilling scenes full of horror or legendary atmosphere, producing an effect that is more exciting and gripping than reading a translated text.
