About This Novel
Young couple Tom and Karin were expecting the birth of their daughter. Karin, who was 33 weeks pregnant, suddenly had difficulty breathing and was diagnosed with severe leukemia. In order to save the baby, she had to have a caesarean section immediately. Tom anxiously shuttled between the obstetrics and gynecology department and the intensive care unit of the hospital. On one side were premature babies living in incubators, and on the other side were critically ill patients who were being rescued by doctors. Tom watched helplessly as his lover's life slowly withered and his life was destroyed bit by bit, but he was unable to do anything. The rescue efforts were in vain, and Tom could only walk out of the hospital sadly with his premature daughter Livia.
