I see now that this book uses jokes, complaints about the system, and the method of constant death and resurrection to reveal the world view. This is an apocalyptic novel. The protagonist knows that there are fatal dangers everywhere and that every death will be fatally painful. When the beautiful woman you meet for the first time is in danger, you risk your life to save it. If someone dies next door, I would go in and kill him without any thought. I suspect that the protagonist likes pain and must have a bad temperament. This book would be much better if the shortcomings of the main character were removed.
