About This Novel
"Selected Readings of Chinese Historical Literary Theory" is a collection of famous ancient Chinese literary theory compiled by Li Ping, professor of the Department of History at the University of Macau. The whole book is divided into eight units according to the content, namely: feudal etiquette, general trend of unification, commoner generals and ministers, economy and trade, political malpractice, rise and fall, theory of original Taoism and historical theory. The selected articles are all articles that discuss the characters, events, systems and laws in ancient Chinese history. The traditional and simplified articles selected in the same unit complement each other and are difficult to distinguish. In order to reduce the difficulty of reading, each article has detailed interpretation, annotations and translations.
