Author, your novel has been described in more than 20 chapters. Although the protagonist and supporting characters seem to have very high IQs, this is not consistent with the apocalypse. It sounds like there are only tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands left after more than a billion people have died in the country. As a 'captain' level figure in the army, why is he not responsible for the majority of people? Instead, he is looking for some people who are time-consuming and labor-intensive and may not be found. At the same time, it stands to reason that he should first build a gathering place instead of bringing a lot of supplies to the protagonist.
