About This Novel
"Village on Paper" is set in the Loess Plateau of eastern Longxi and is based on Liangping Town, Ning County, Qingyang City, an important town on the Silk Road, the hometown of the hero Fu Jiezi of the Western Han Dynasty. It three-dimensionally reflects the scenes and changes in rural life in the northwest since the 1960s. It is a long series of essays covering nature, history, culture, agriculture, customs and many local cultural elements. Through his own personal feelings and the life experiences of his neighbors, the work shows the rise and fall of Longdong's rural areas in many aspects over the past hundred years.
