About This Novel
Even before the Year of the Horse, I have relatives and friends calling me constantly. They come to me for no other reason than for their father and mother, or because their brothers, sisters, classmates and comrades have health problems and need medical treatment or hospitalization. That kind of urgency leaves no room for negotiation. Of course, some people are more polite and say a few warm and polite words; others go straight to the alley and make rigid demands, such as which experts to find and which days to arrange beds, without any discussion. They didn't think about me at all, as if the hospital was run by my own family. In recent years, the number of outpatient visits in the three affiliated hospitals of my medical university has increased year by year, month by day, and day by day. It is difficult for patients whose lives are not hanging by a thread to be admitted to the hospital in one step.
