About This Novel
"Old Age" is Dazai Osamu's first collection of novels. The author said in the appendix, "I thought this might be my only legacy." In his youth, Dazai Osamu played life and committed suicide several times. His thoughts were fragmented and his spirit was extremely unstable. It can be called an era of "rebellion and resistance." Among this work, the most representative "Clown's Flower" is the forerunner of "Disqualified in the World". The protagonist of the work is still Ye Zang from "Disqualified in the World", chasing love and escaping from love, and continuing the plot of "committing suicide by diving". The other fourteen novels, including an appendix, all show Osamu Dazai's turbulent, depressed and depressed inner world.

When it comes to suicide, no one has as many ideas as I do.
Live but don't want to live, die but don't dare to die
Sometimes I really want to die
Dazai: I am a noble
