About This Novel
"In the Bamboo Forest" is one of Akutagawa Ryunosuke's masterpieces. It was later adapted into a movie by the famous Japanese director Akira Kurosawa and renamed "Rashomon", which won it a worldwide reputation. The plot of the novel is very simple. A samurai couple encountered a robber on the road. The husband lost his life and the wife disappeared after being humiliated. What is the truth? The accounts given by those involved and bystanders differed greatly. Everyone is beautifying themselves for their own benefit. In the author's opinion, the truth is lost in the darkness of human nature and cannot be explored...

This book is not as protracted as some books. The plot is very simple. It mainly tells the story of a couple. The husband disappears mysteriously, and how should the wife deal with it? Because girls who have been humiliated are disliked by the world
In the Bamboo Grove, this book has gone through the novel period, and even been made into a movie, so it was renamed Rashomon. This matter must have been popular for a period of time. Anyway, it was very famous at the time. Anyway, I don't know how popular it was, because I guess I was not born yet.
The missing husband and himself are humiliated, and the wife who doesn't know what to do is really a troublesome thing, because he doesn't know how to deal with himself. It's okay if others don't know, but if they know, wouldn't it be embarrassing? After all, he is a womanly person.
