Moveable Banquet
by Li Zhizhan
About This Novel
This is a collection of short stories and short stories published by young writer Li Zhizhan in major literary journals in the past ten years. Most of the works included in the book have warm stories and concise language. They describe people's social situation and the struggle for a better life in the changes in rural and urban areas. Most of the protagonists are people with "fire in their hearts." The work looks directly at the truth of life and rationally presents the current social reality in the novel. At the same time, it tries its best to use the inner logic of the story and the emotional narrative to care for those weak and fragile lives, arouse readers' empathy, and still have enthusiasm after witnessing the difficulties of life.

What touched me in the short story
I was moved by the article "A Moveable Banquet". The conversation between my grandfather and grandson Dongye made me cry uncontrollably. I am grateful to the author for his novel. The characters in the short story are ordinary people in ordinary life. They are either frustrated or proud, and they are all real people. There is not so much glamor, and there is no pleasure and hatred, but for the sake of life, there is a bitterness and sweetness to chew in loneliness. Regardless of the so-called meaning and profound philosophical thoughts - I think the author did not think about these so-called meanings when describing these people. I just record the people and things, the past and experiences of these ordinary people who we pass by in daily life and don't even remember their appearance, and the joys and sorrows behind these ordinary people. Just like the wild fruits in the mountains, they are not as delicate and large as standard fruits, juicy and sweet, refreshing. Wild fruits often look ugly, are small, and have a sour and weird taste - but this is the original appearance of life. Without any fertilizer supplements or timely water sources, they still grow hard in the wilderness or deep mountains with a lot of energy. Occasionally, a traveler passes by and picks one. It is sour and sweet, with endless aftertaste.
