About This Novel
To be disqualified in the human world is to lose the qualifications to be a human being. It consists of five parts: preface, first notebook, second notebook, third notebook, and postscript. The preface and postscript are narrated in the author's tone, and the three notebooks are narrated in the tone of the protagonist Ye Zang. The protagonist Ye Zang is timid and cowardly, afraid of worldly emotions and does not understand the complex thoughts of human beings. He then entertains others through comedy and hides his true self. Later, I discovered that drinking and having fun seemed to be a better way to escape the world, so I lived a wild life all day long, numbing myself through alcohol, drugs, and women, and eventually led to destruction. He was tortured by the most real pain of being a human being. He spent his whole life seeking love and avoiding love under self-weariness, and in the end he could only destroy himself.

"I" was born in the northeastern countryside, and I am not considered well-informed. The first time I saw a train was when I was a little older. At that time, "I" climbed up and down the overpass, thinking that it was just to make the train station as interesting as a foreign amusement park. Climbing up and down like this was very special.
When "I" was a child, I saw the subway in a picture book. "I" always thought that it was designed and built because the fun of riding a car underground is much higher than that on the ground. I never thought that it was built for actual needs.
"I" have been in poor health since I was a child and am often sick, so I spend most of my time in bed. When lying on the bed, "I" think these beddings are the most boring decoration. But it was only when I was in my twenties that I realized how practical these things were.
