About This Novel
The eldest aunt married into Dugutun. This was more than 30 years ago. One day, when I accidentally thought of this incident, I also thought of my eldest aunt in my youth, her beautiful appearance, her subsequent experiences, and of course, the "bridal send-off" event that I will never forget. Speaking of sending relatives off, this is a custom. In my hometown, when a man and a woman get married, if the groom and the bride do not live in the same village, the mother's family is responsible for sending the bride to the groom's husband. This is called a wedding send-off. --This custom still exists today. In those days, horse-drawn carriages were basically used to send relatives off. It's a rubber-tired cart pulled by four horses. Generally speaking, a carriage is enough.
