About This Novel
After experiencing decline and exploration in the Yuan and Ming dynasties, Chinese classical poetry reappeared in the Qing Dynasty, creating another peak of poetry creation following the Tang and Song dynasties. The high-pitched songs of literary masters, the bitter chants of poor commoners, the longing for the homeland during the Change of Dynasties, and the sorrowful sighs of life in the last days, all of which made Qing poetry shine and unique in the final period of Chinese classical literature. This book was selected and annotated by the Classical Literature Teaching and Research Office of the Chinese Department of Fujian Normal University. It was first published in the 1980s. A group of Qing Dynasty poetry research experts annotated the selected chapters, providing the best way for readers to understand and appreciate Qing Dynasty poetry. It was later revised and improved.
