This book is based on the fragments of the Hangzhou edition of "Dongpo Collection" in the Southern Song Dynasty, and is supplemented by "Dongpo Hou Collection". Comprehensively edited and edited with reference to the Yuan Dynasty editions of "Dongpo Yuefu", "Dongpo Yuefu Notes" and "Dongpo Long and Short Sentences", it contains a total of 337 lyrics, 164 poems and 32 articles written by Su Shi. The works in the book are arranged chronologically, and the poems, lyrics, and articles are all accompanied by the creation time. Readers can not only understand the relevant works along the ups and downs of Su Shi's life, but also more deeply grasp the turning points of Su Shi's legendary life through the themes reflected in the collection of works. The book is accompanied by a ten-thousand-word introduction by Professor Zhu Gang of Fudan University and a chronology of Su Shi, which explains in detail the character and destiny, ideals and choices, artistic pursuits and life attitudes of a generation of literary giant Su Dongpo. The illustrations include five representative works of Su Shi's calligraphy: "Baoyue Tie", "Chibi Fu", "Return to the Ci Volume", "Gui'an Qiuyuan Tie" and "Raspberry Tie", all of which are reproduced in equal proportions based on the original works of national first-class cultural relics.
