About This Novel
On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, such a book was completed. As people born in the 1950s, we are almost the same age as New China. Together with our parents' generation, we have experienced the ups and downs since the founding of the People's Republic of China, as well as the tremendous changes in the 40 years of reform and opening up. We have witnessed with our own eyes a period of history in which our great motherland has gone through hardships, overcame obstacles, and forged ahead, and we have also left our own footprints in the magnificent history. At this special moment, I would like to write this book to commemorate my parents and my own youthful years.
