About This Novel

In a high-end retirement community in the British countryside, former agent Elizabeth refused to "grow old in diapers and in a wheelchair." She contacted the mystery-obsessed nurse Joyce, the worker Ron, and the psychiatrist Ibrahim who lived here to form the "Thursday Mystery Club", which met every Thursday to study unsolved cases and mysteries that the police had not solved for many years. Unexpectedly, a series of murders really happened around me. The builder of the community was attacked and killed; the number one suspect suddenly fell to the ground and died; unknown bones from 50 years ago were dug up in the cemetery... The case became more and more complicated. The four "easy chair detectives" with an average age of 77.5 Each show their unique talents: Elizabeth used her secret agent skills to dig out key clues; Ron, while constantly denying, screened out suspects before the police; Ibrahim and Joyce used their professional acumen to find breakthroughs in the case. Who is the real murderer? This new type of mystery novel (CozyMystery) leads readers to solve crimes while soothing their souls and searching for the ultimate happiness and wisdom in life.

Eat it in one bite

I really like the narrative style of this book! The plot design is also quite clever, and there are always twists and turns just when people think they have expected what will happen next. Disadvantages: When I read it in one sitting, I often have trouble recalling who is who ()

The quiet river flows slowly

After reading the whole book, I found that the pace of this book is not fast, and the format of switching perspectives chapter by chapter is relatively novel. Logically speaking, such a work seems difficult to attract, or it may only be a slightly better work. However, this work innovatively uses an elderly person as the protagonist, and constantly designs various warm details of how people get along with each other. The handling of several relationships is particularly memorable. This kind of work is the most memorable, like a quiet river, flowing slowly, and we are intoxicated while taking a boat ride.
