A young girl dressed in a red T-shirt and jeans suddenly appears in people's dreams. Is this a dream or reality? The beautiful psychotherapist Chiba Atsuko and the genius scientist Tokida Kosaku jointly developed the "PT device". In this way, dreams can be displayed on the computer screen and even medical intervention can be performed. Using this new invention, the mature and steady Professor Atsuko Chiba transformed into a beautiful girl codenamed Publica and entered the patient's dream to treat mental illness. But she is surrounded by extremely bloodthirsty enemies, who have been secretly plotting to attack her. Soon their new invention was stolen by unknown persons. Since then, a series of creepy and strange things have happened in the institute, starting a big melee including science, cults, dreams, movies, mythology, religion, homosexuality and Freudian psychology! As a detective of dreams, after curing many psychiatric patients, she is about to be swallowed up by dreams. Can she still escape from the nightmare...

I didn't understand their relationship clearly after watching the movie. After reading the book, I thought it was wise to delete the relationship.
Don't read the novel after watching the movie, just thank Satoshi Kon. I gave up after seeing Chapter 48. The advantage is that the overall science fiction structure is okay, but the disadvantages are shown on page 549, and there are some country jokes that are not funny (page 570)
