About This Novel
"From the Depths" records Wilde's path to love: in 1895, the Marquess of Queensberry, the father of Wilde's same-sex lover Douglas Posey, angrily sued Wilde because of his son's inappropriate relationship with Wilde. Wilde, encouraged by Posey, countersued and was eventually jailed. From the heartbreaking pain of almost suffocation when he was imprisoned, to the peace and tranquility when he was released from prison. It was not until the last journey of life (Wilde died of illness three years after being released from prison) that a generation of talented people fully realized that life is based on misery rather than joy. The literary value of this book also lies in the fact that the artist honestly faces the suffering of his own destiny and realizes the greatness of love in the suffering. This article has excellent translation skills, smooth translation, gorgeous words, and sincere feelings, which better restores Wilde's gorgeous and beautiful writing style.

"To get along with you, a person either gives up himself or gives up on you. There is no other choice." Love is too stupid. I really can't understand the feeling of hate and love of "I have to forgive you for myself." Is it great and kind to fully accept the hurt of your lover, or is it humble and stupid? I feel sorry for you when you are bankrupt and imprisoned. I will even feel sad for what happened to you for a long time, but I still can't help but say: It's your fault for being too affectionate, you deserve it.
Love has no right or wrong. Everything based on love should be worthy of recognition.
The highest level of evil is superficiality
forgive
For your own sake, I have to forgive you too.
When you give everything to one person and the other person takes it for granted and doesn't care. You are still the same, even if you have nothing. This kind of giving is the most humble and despicable behavior. It is not worthy of pity, but is caused by the hidden baseness in human nature.
Very stupid sincerity
If you have a wrong, unworthy friend that you can't let go of. You can see how stupid that is
I read love, I hope you do too.
After all the sins have faded away, all that remains is the sadness of love. You said "love can read poems written on the farthest stars", but in the end you were just blind and looking in the wrong direction...
I haven't finished reading it yet, but I feel very angry. Poor people must be hateful. I don't think Wilde is pitiful. There is no value in blindly giving and blindly taking. I think people who give blindly are cheap, no matter what their starting point is. The fact that Wilde could write these words shows that he has regretted it, which is even more despicable. Maybe it's a bit extreme, but I feel this way
Life is based on misery rather than joy~~
