About This Novel

"Walden" is a collection of essays written by the famous American writer Thoreau, which records his thoughts while living in seclusion by Walden Pond for two years and two months. There, he embraced nature and lived a poetic life. He built a cabin with his own hands, reclaimed wasteland, planted in spring and harvested in autumn, talked with lakes, forests, and birds, played the flute on a boat, fished by the lake, and used a pen to describe the scenery on this land in detail, even as small as the fight between two ants, which was a wonderful stroke of poetry.
