Who wrote my diary? The 2020 Edgar Allan Poe Award-winning work has three narrative perspectives, a Gothic "work within a work", and connects multiple murders. Claire is a high school teacher and an expert on Gothic novelist R. M. Holland. One day, her close friend and colleague suddenly died tragically at home. Next to the body was a line taken from Holland's "The Stranger": "Hell is empty." Claire was surprised to find that her life and the novel she was studying gradually overlapped. The police launched an investigation and suspected that the murderer was an acquaintance of Claire. At a time of crisis and not knowing who to trust, Claire opened her diary and recorded her fears and doubts about the case. But a few days later, she found a sentence in the diary that she had never seen before: Hello Claire, you don't know who I am. Real life and horror novels are intertwined, and the story is given a terrifying life. Can the ending be rewritten?
