About This Novel
The mill is at the eastern end of Duoer Village, close to the irrigation canal of Duoer Village. Throughout the year, villagers will pick up the harvested grain and wash it in irrigation canals. Firstly, it is close to the mill for grinding flour, and secondly, the water in the irrigation canal is clear and can wash the grain cleanly. On a sunny day, the slopes of the irrigation canals are covered with reed mats of various sizes, and the mats of different colors are dotted with patches of different colors. Life in Duoer Village is not rich, and the reed mats are almost never complete. It is normal for a mat to last seven, eight, or ten years. Some mats are so patched that the original appearance and color of the reed mats are no longer visible. Among the women who dried and washed the grain, Xiyue was the most eye-catching.
