About This Novel
This book is based on the changing process of archaeological culture and national history in the left bank of the Amur River (Heilongjiang) from the early Iron Age to the Middle Ages. It describes the ancient city sites on the left bank of the upper reaches of Heilongjiang, the left bank of the middle reaches of Heilongjiang, the Zeya River Basin, and the lower reaches of Heilongjiang, and compares the materials. Special studies were conducted on nearly thirty ancient cities that have been enriched, investigated and excavated in depth. Under the existing research conditions, the spatiotemporal background and geographical environment of these city sites were restored as much as possible, and important issues such as their cultural heritage status and ethnic nature were discussed in detail. The ancient city sites on the left bank of the Amur River (Heilongjiang) were mainly built by the Yilou, Shiwei, Mohe, Jurchen and other ancient ethnic groups in Northeast China.
