The book is divided into six chapters, drawing on the writing style of Tibetan history books, using 95 stories to tell the history of Tibet from ancient times to the peaceful liberation in 1951. Together with hundreds of pictures and brief descriptions, it comprehensively presents the development of civilization in Tibet since the beginning of humankind, from ancient times. It follows strict historical logic, but does not stick to the rigid history book form. Instead, it intersperses many vivid historical stories, allowing people to feel the development context of Tibetan history from the tragic and joyful fate of each character and the magnificent historical scenes.
