This book consists of five parts: Introduction, the political and social background of Guizhou during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the civil land system in Guizhou during the Ming Dynasty, the civil land system in Guizhou during the Qing Dynasty, the changes in the civil land system in Guizhou during the Ming and Qing Dynasties and its enlightenment. Following the research path from "structure and motivation" to "function and meaning", this paper uses legal sociology theory and property rights theory to explore issues such as the ownership system, usufruct system and registration system of Guizhou's private land in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the changes in the private land system in Guizhou during the Ming and Qing Dynasties and its implications, and focuses on analyzing the structure, characteristics, causes and functions of the private land system in Guizhou during the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
