About This Novel
Zhang Xuedong, born in 1972. Member of Chinese Writers Association. It was hailed by critics as one of the "Three New Trees" in Ningxia literary circles. He studied at the Lu Xun Institute of Literature and the postgraduate class for writers in Shanghai. To date, he has published more than three million words of long, medium and short stories, and his works have been reprinted by "Selected Novels", "Novel Monthly", "Selected Novellas", "Beijing Literature·Novelette Monthly", "Writer's Digest", etc. His short and medium stories have been selected into the 2001-2009 China Excellent Novel Anthology, and have been included in authoritative domestic annual novel rankings such as the China Novel Society for many times. His works have repeatedly won the Outstanding Novel Award from publications such as "Chinese Writers", "Shanghai Literature", and "Beijing Literature Novella Monthly", the first prize in the Ningxia Seventh Literary and Art Awards Novel, and the Ningxia Government Outstanding Cultural Creation Award. The short story "Award-winning Photo" and the novella "Hard Summer Wheat" were shortlisted for the third and fourth national Lu Xun Literature Awards.
