After reading a few chapters, I really can't stand it anymore.
The first point is that food stamps were no longer used in the 80s, and that era was very strict and gangsters were shot. I don't know what the author thought about the gangsters being so rampant. The second point is that the heroine is Madonna B. Her father owes gambling debts and she uses her body to pay off the debts. The heroine's mother persuades her to use her body to help her father pay off the debts. She actually forgives her mother. I am convinced.
