About This Novel

On a snowy night in 1947, in an old red-brick house in Brooklyn, a pair of sisters-in-law gave birth at the same time. The one who gave birth to a boy already had four sons, and the one who gave birth to a girl had three daughters. In that fateful moment, they decided to swap babies, thinking that a child of a different gender would make both families happy ever after. However, the well-intentioned child exchange operation exposed the cracks in the family and marriage, which could explode at any time. Boys and girls gradually grew up under the selfishness and expectations of their relatives, ignorant of their own life experiences, until a tragedy struck... An accident took away Teddy's life and tore apart the Berman family. How will Natalie, who has escaped death, face her parents and get out of her own life? Can those old wounds buried deep in everyone's heart be truly healed?
